Friday!

For some reason I have only been posting on Fridays this month. Hah! Not sure why, but I guess it's better than nothing. The Husband took a personal day for Monday, so I am pretty happy for a 3 day weekend with him. We also have our nephew's birthday party on Saturday - definitely looking forward to that as well!

Here are a couple of things I have been excited about this week-

I mean really. How pretty is this?!

I have been shopping on Amazon and Etsy quite a bit lately, and I recently purchased this Laduree pastry book. It just came in the mail this morning, and I am just in love with it. The cover is some sort of velvet/suede material, and has gold trim. Such a pretty little book. I can't wait to make macarons and other goodies from these recipes!

I've also decided that after seeing how stunning this book was that I needed the mate to it. The Savory book {this one being the Sucre, of course}. I'll have to order that one soon!

I also found these on Etsy from a Scottish lady in France. They are vintage copper kitchen canisters with sucre, cafe, and the on them. So pretty! They match our copper pots & pans great.

Last week I went for a long overdue haircut - I had 7 inches taken off! It's still long, so I think I want to go back and have another 2-3 inches cut. I'm loving my shorter hair. I can't believe how long it was and I wish I had taken a before/after picture!

Here are a few things that have made my week a little brighter:

I bought this yesterday actually, and it has become an instant favorite.
It is pure HEAVEN.

 Finally bought the blu ray version of the most magnificent movie ever made,
 in my humble opinion. I could watch it everyday! :-)

Current make up wish list. I definitely have a problem. Yikes.

Child of mine takes everything I own and makes it his.
Including my lap top case. Silly boy.

I have been lusting after these Charlotte Olympia shoes for months it seems,
and now they are finally in my possession! Very excited to wear these!

I do not own any Dior nail polish, so I wanted to try a few.
  I came home with riviera and gris trianon. The brow kit was FREE! 

I had been eyeing this iPhone case since summer.
And I found it on ebay last week. So pretty and girly.

Zoya Electra

Everyday I fall more in love with Zoya! This might be my new favorite brand of nail polish.

I got Electra in my December Glossybox. It's not something I would have picked out for myself,

 but I really like it. I used 3 coats and it almost has a foil finish. 

Super pretty and cheerful for these drab winter days.

Chanel spring 2013 collection

How gorgeous is this illuminating powder?!

Can't wait to get my hands on it!

I am dying over this collection as a whole. Everything is just gorgeous and they are colors I normally like - soft, pretty and pink. Though typical for spring I guess. A couple of things that I have my eye on are the les 4 ombres quadra eyeshadow in refinement, le vernis nail color in emprise {on model above}, and the rouge allure velvet matte lip color in l'eclatante {also on model above, I believe}.

Tom ford smoke red nail polish

This was one of my favorite Christmas gifts! And it was a complete surprise 

from my Brother. I have never tried anything from the Tom Ford nail polish line, and 

this is everything I had hoped for, considering the price point. So far, I am on day 5 

and still no chips! If this was an Opi polish, my nails would be a wreck by now. The 

formula was so easy to work with, too. I used this on my toes about a week and a 

half ago, and it still looks like I had a fresh pedicure. Love it!!
