Recent purchases

- Chanel's May from the spring 2012 line. Way prettier in person! I wasn't going to get June, which is a like pastel orange, but I quickly changed my mind when I saw it at the store. Gorg-e-ous!
- L'oreal Colour Riche Balm in Nourishing nude. Love this.
- Lancôme Hypnose Drama mascara. Can't wait to try.
- Little sleep romper from Victoria's Secret. Adorable and on sale!
- Long sleeved tees from the VS Pink line. While I think Pink is more for teenagers, these are great basics and really comfortable. I love the v neck tees and leggings, too.
- Tulips from Trader Joes. Smell so good!

Opi YDKJ and collection update

Now I know why You Don't Know Jacques is one of Opi's top selling shades. I'm so glad that I finally decided to buy this, because it really is such a perfect brown-ish gray. I like this mostly because it so versatile. I often find myself not wearing a particular sweater or whatever because it clashes with the color of my nail polish. That's why I love reds, sheer white/pink, brown/gray... Or the purple-ish, red-ish, blue-ish blacks {even though I am tired of those}.. They go good with everything. YDKJ is just perfect.

I also wanted to post an updated picture of my collection.. I think I need a new way to store them! The first picture is from last spring, and the second picture is from a few days ago.

Nail polish wish list.

So I have a little bit of a problem.. In my last post, I talked about the Chanel Graphite that I purchased with money I got from Christmas... And I fell in love. Not just with Graphite, but with ALL Chanel nail polish. I am finding myself wanting almost every color of these pretty little {expensive} polishes! Oh well. Lol. I suppose just as long as I don't buy them as often as I would Opi or Essie it would be okay. So here is my wish list {more like, to buy list, lol}.

Chanel Graphite

I love, love this nail polish! I bought it after Christmas with some money I got from family. I wouldn't normally spend 25 bucks on one bottle of polish, but since it was a special occasion I figured why not? Graphite is like a silver-ish green with purple and green micro flecks. Very shimmery!

Pink Friday & Teenage Dream

I wasn't planning on getting any of the Nikki Minaj collection, until I saw it in person. Every color is so PRETTY and bright. This is Pink Friday, and Teenage Dream {on ring finger} from the Katy Perry collection last year. PF is a lot brighter than pictured here... I couldn't capture the color accurately. Both Opi.

Five Things Friday: Pinspriation

As with most females, I too am addicted to Pinterest. I don't know where the time goes whenever I get on that wonderful little website. Here are a few of my recent pins.

How cute is this Kate Spade iPhone case? I think it would go great on my white phone. :)

I am currently on a 'no more baking treats' vacation, but I might have to make these for valentines day. I'm sure Daren wouldn't mind.

I REALLY need something like this for my bathroom! I have so many products just sitting out on the counter- which I hate. I prefer to have things organized and tidy. This would be just perfect and pretty.

LOVE flowers. Especially white peonies and hydrangeas. Nothing makes me happier than a fresh bouquet to put on my table.

These little shoes are so adorable, and look really warm! I think I will have to head over to Target to pick these up pretty soon! I also saw them in navy.. Not sure if they come in any other colors.

Happy weekend! I will be spending it with my organic chemistry textbook. :)

Nicole by Opi

This is Khloe Had a Little Lam Lam. So far, this is the only color I have purchased from the Kardashian collection. It is really pretty, but turned out to be a little darker than it was in the bottle. Super shiny, though! I'm hoping to also get Kim-Pletely in Love, but that wasn't at Target, so I'll have to make a trip to ulta soon. :)

Resolutions for 2012! :o)

I can't even remember the last time I made a New Year's resolution. I always thought they were kind of pointless and most people never keep them anyway... And if you really want to change something, like diet, why wait until the new year? With that being said, I decided that I am going to make a few, lol. Maybe I shouldn't say for just 2012, but for my life in general. Not sure what sparked this.. Maybe because things are different for me, like the fact that I am married now. But none of these changes/goals are that life shattering, though. Just some minor things that I am always working toward.

So, here goes. {In no particular order}.

1. Worry less. Especially when it comes to school, and thinking that I have some awful disease {being a pre-nursing student can do that to you!}. I have realized over the past few years that worrying is a COMPLETE waste of energy. I refuse to have the "what if.." scenario going on in my head.

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.

Psalms 37:5

That's all I need.

2. Consume more raw foods. For this, Daren and I decided that we wanted a juicer. So for Christmas, MIL got us one. It worked great at first. Super powerful motor and very dry pulp. Then it started to get off balance very easily, and would shake violently, so we decided to return it. We went to Macy's because they had all of their juicers 40% off. We ended up with a Cuisinart. It was originally 289.99, so the 40% off was a great deal. The pulp isn't as dry as it was in the first juicer, but it gets the job done and we love it. I have already noticed a difference in how I feel just from the couple of weeks with juicing.

Beet, apple, celery, carrot, cranberry, chard, and ginger. :)

3. Get moving! At the end of Winter, Daren and I have plans to buy me a GOOD bike so we can spend the next 7 months or so riding everywhere. We live in the perfect area for this. Until then, I am going to make an effort to get my body moving more. Like parking really far away at school, the mall, or the grocery store.. These are small changes but I feel like they could make a difference.

4. Blog more. Hopefully I can make this happen. I take a lot of pictures, but often forget to post them. I have some new ideas for posts, too. :D

Happy New Year!
