Chanel May

I don't normally wear pink nail polish, but I'm so glad I bought May from Chanel's Spring 2012 collection! It is just gorgeouuuussss. This will most likely be my go-to lacquer for Spring. May is the perfect pink polish. Not too bright, but still fun and girlie. It would also look good on any skin tone. The formula was really great too. I used 2 coats and it went on like butter.

New hair

In December, I decided to get rid of my blond highlights and go back to my natural dark brown hair. But since last summer, I've been wanting to try the ombré hair. I know it's technically "out" but I just don't care, lol. I'm really excited to do this.

The first picture {with my Dad} is how my hair looks right now. The picture of Lilly Aldridge is EXACTLY how I want it to look. Really natural, soft, and not super light. I think if there is too much of a contrast, it looks harsh {think Drew Barrymore when she had it. Yuck}. I have also seen some ombré styles that look brassy.. That is exactly what I don't want. But I'm confident that my hair stylist will do a great job.

My appointment is Friday, so I'll be sure to post an after pic!

Weekend iPhone Pics

- Stopped by the Chanel counter while out shopping with Mom. Picked up a new eye shadow in Lotus {stunning color}, nail polish in Frisson, and lip glosses in #161 and #163. Very happy with all of these.
- New Coach sunnies from Saks Off Fifth.
- Beautiful tulips from my sister-in-law. :D

The weekend was pretty uneventful. On Friday I spent the day with my Mom, and Saturday Daren and I just had a lazy day. On Sunday we decided to have family over for dinner. We got a ton of carry out and my SIL made some amazing cheesecake brownies. It was so nice visiting with everyone and just having a relaxing night. :)

Kiehls creme de corps and Notd

I have never tried a kiehls product that I did not like. Creme de corps is no exception. My skin has become itchy and super sensitive this winter, so I wanted to find a new moisturizer. Everything I have tried thus far has been greasy and left me feeling sticky. After reading review after review on the Nordstrom website, I decided to jump on the bandwagon. I bought the 4.2 ounce bottle just to try out in case I didn't like it. But as it turns out, I really really really love this stuff. It is super moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft. I will definitely be purchasing the big bottle soon. It truly is one of the best moisturizers that I have ever used.

I also wanted to share a pic of my mani from the other day: china glaze sea spray. Beautiful!

Happy weekend!

V day <3

I wanted to share a few snapshots from Valentines Day. Daren and I went to Sangria, a Spanish restaurant we love. They have such amazing food! For heart day nails, I had on Opi Manicurist of Seville {quite fitting actually to wear that to a Spanish restaurant. Sevilla is a beautiful city in Spain that I was able to visit about 10 years ago!}. This color is so pretty, but way darker than I thought it would be. I also wore my pandora bracelet since Daren surprised me with 2 new charms. :)

The restaurant was so dark.. But I tried to take a picture of my favorite tapa.. Tortilla de patatas. Yummm. And lastly, the delicious sangria.

Five things Friday

- New Opi polishes I picked up. I recently discovered this store that is super close to me and they had buy one get one 75% off! I came home with sapphire in the snow, manicurist of Seville, panda-monium pink, and I'll take the cake.
- Opi Panda-monium pink. Super pretty. Not as light as I was hoping though.
- Jason Wu for Target kitty shirt. I love this so much! I definitely felt that I had to own this because I have a black cat. And I am a huge kitty lover. Glad I got an XS, this shirt is huge.
- Pretty irises :)
- Daren surprised me with an early valentines present. Love!

Mint Madness

I am REALLY loving this mint trend for Spring 2012. It is so pretty and refreshing. Mint looks great paired with something neutral or bright. Here are a few things on my shopping list:

And of course mint nail polish!

More recent purchases..

I have been on a bit of a shopping binge lately. Probably because I cannot remember the last time I even did some *serious* shopping.
Here are a few things I picked up:

- Chanel eyeliner in espresso and vitalumiere aqua foundation. Love both of these! But the foundation is probably the BEST I have ever used. No exaggeration. This stuff is incredible and lasts all day. So even though it was 45 bucks {!!!}, it is well worth it.. and will last a long time {a little goes a long way}. My skin feels amazing from it!
- I have needed jeans for such a long time, so I decided to go to the outlet Neiman Marcus to see what they had. I really wanted a pair of skinny jeans to fit into my boots, so I ended up with these Seven For All Mankind Roxanne jeans. They fit great and are really comfortable. Just need to get them hemmed now since they are so long.
- I went to Victoria's Secret again to get more long sleeves thermal tees. I love these! They are so comfortable and fit perfect. I also picked up 2 short sleeved tees, 2 pair of black leggings, and undies. I didn't post a picture of the undies for obvious reasons.. And black leggings are pretty generic, so no need for a picture of those. :)
- I've been wanting a light colored purse for a long time. I normally use a black leather one.. But wanted something different for spring and summer. I got this coach bag on sale at Parisian and I love it! It is so huge... Way bigger than my other bag and has purple lining. You can't tell from the picture, but each C has really pretty gold stitching.

And my Philbert, who loves to tear up tissue paper.

Happy weekend! :)

Essie Master Plan

This has been sitting in my stash box for a long time. I finally decided to try it out. I have to say, it's much prettier than I expected. It's similar to Chinchilly, but lighter and more of a beige. It looks great with my skin tone, too.
